CMSESMC is the county’s professional organization dedicated to the improvement of classroom instruction in science and mathematics.  Its goals are to foster excellence in mathematics and science curricula and educational program, promote professional excellence in teaching and strengthen leadership in mathematics and science education. 

Main Events

CMSESMC is supported by the San Mateo County Office of Education and is affiliated with the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and the California Mathematics Council – Northern Section (CMC-N). The two main events that CMSESMC sponsors are the Fall Resource Fair and the Spring Math/Science Conference.

Meetings

Our active members meet on a monthly basis and are especially interested in providing activities and events that support teachers in mathematics and science education. Download the meeting schedule.

Liaisons

CMSESMC Liaisons fill an important role by keeping their school community and other CMSESMC members informed of local math and science issues. Liaisons receive some nice perks for their willingness to take on this responsibility on behalf of their schools.  Learn more about CMSESMC Liaisons.
